Many Rajput cities and individual homes are surrounded by walls with large gates. Pray that the gates would be thrown open wide and that the “King of Glory”, Jesus Christ would be welcomed as Lord and Savior into Rajput families.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Each November, Grace Fellowship participates in Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child project. This shoe box outreach has reached over 130 countries since 1993 and 8 million children received shoe boxes last year. The goal is to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
You can participate by packing a shoe box, donating to ship shoe boxes, donating towards the Greatest Journey discipleship program, or as a volunteer in one of the regional collection centers.
2011 MISSION OPPORTUNITIES:
WEAR’S VALLEY RANCH CHILDREN’S HOME – May 9-13
The ranch provides housing and schooling for 32 children from significantly dysfunctional families. We do painting, landscaping, and light construction work.
WHEN: May 9-13
WHERE : The ranch is located on 100 acres adjacent to the Smokey Mountain National Forest near Pigeon Forge, TN.
WORK: Our group which usually numbers about 30 finds that the work is varied and meets all levels of skill and physical abilities. Prior work has included:
-office help with mailings
-painting, inside and outside
-kitchen cleaning and organization
-simple landscaping
-electrical repairs
-drywall work
-construction projects
-pressure washing
ACCOMMODATIONS: Greenbrier Lodge and the ranch camp cabins
COSTS: approximately $150 which includes meals and lodging….scholarships are available
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC MISSIONS TRIP - March 31 - April 7
The date for the 2011 Dominican Republic Mission Trip has been set and will take place Thursday, March 31 to Thursday, April 7. If you would like to be a part of this mission experience, please sign up at the mission table or contact Mallory Granitz at (706) 433-3640 as soon as possible. Arrangements must be made quickly due to the early dates for the trip.
